Conference Policies
Registration Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of a registration must be notified in writing to Melbourne Conference Management (tasa2008@union.unimelb.edu.au). Cancellations prior to Friday 31st October 2008 to receive a full refund less $110 administration fee. No refund will be given for cancellation after Friday 31st October 2008 however substitutions will be possible. Advice on substitutions must be made in writing.
Accommodation bookings
Hotel accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a deposit of one night’s room rate minimum in order to secure a reservation and must be made by Friday 31st October 2008. Accommodation bookings made without a deposit will not be accepted. Melbourne Conference Management will settle the deposit with the hotel and delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out. Any change to a reservation must be notified to Melbourne Conference Management and not directly to the hotel. Please note, any changes or cancellations should be made in writing to Melbourne Conference Management by Friday 31st October 2008 via tasa2008@union.unimelb.edu.au. The deposit is non refundable if you cancel your accommodation booking on or after Friday 31st October 2008 and will also be forfeited if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked.

Refunds for registration fees and associated expenses on the basis of program changes cannot be accommodated.
Privacy policy
In registering for this Conference relevant details will be incorporated into a delegates list (name and organisation only) and may be made available to venue and accommodation providers and key sponsors. Should delegates not wish details to be used please advise when registering.
Insurance
The TASA’08 conference registration fee does not include personal travel or health insurance of any kind.
International visitors
All prices are in Australian dollars (A$) and all payments must be made by credit card or bank draft/cheque in Australian dollars. A valid passport or certificate of identification is required for entry to Australia . All persons not holding an Australian or New Zealand passport also require a visa. It is the responsibility of delegates to ensure they have the required documentation before arriving in Australia. Further information can be found via the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Payment
All conference and function payments must be received prior to the conference. If payment is not received you will be required to provide your personal credit card details at the conference to guarantee payment. This card will be debited if alternative payment is not received within 14 days. All accommodation arrangements are the responsibility of delegates.
Abstract and paper acceptance policy
Full Papers for submission to the TASA’08 Refereed Conference Proceedings must be submitted via the Online Paper & Abstract Submission Form on the TASA’08 Conference website by Monday 28th July 2008. The Conference Convenors reserve the right to refuse papers for the Refereed Conference Proceedings if papers do not conform to the required format. Abstracts of Full Papers (General) and Work in Progress Papers must also be submitted via the online system by Monday 29th September 2008 Abstracts will be edited where necessary.
Presenters with accepted papers/abstracts are required to complete the registration form and pay their fees to ensure their papers remain in the conference program.
Reciprocal Conference Arrangements
Members of ASA, BSA, SAANZ & ISA may register for the TASA’08 conference at TASA member rates. Evidence of membership is required upon registration.
